Air Construction Permits

Completed air construction permit applications should be submitted to the Air Permitting Engineer or your designated Linn County Public Health contact.

Common Application Packages

The following are template applications for processes or equipment common in Linn County. Note that a facility may utilize one or more process not included in the template packages below. If there are any questions about permit applicability, please contact the Air Permitting Engineer for additional information.

Paint Booths and Paint Preparation Stations

If your paint booth has more than one stack, please complete an additional Form EP and Form PTO for each stack. Paint preparation station emissions are typically incorporated into those emitted from the paint booth. Please include Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all paints used at the facility with the complete permit application.

Emergency Generators Rated at ≥ 400 horsepower

An emergency generator rated at ≥400 horsepower is required to obtain a construction permit. If your generator has more than one stack, please complete a Form EP and Form PTO for each stack.

Grain Storage and/or Grain Elevator

Complete a Form EU, Form EP, and Form PTO for each grain storage bin and dryer at the facility. Grain storage bins with multiple vents are treated as a single emission point; however, please identify the number of vents on the Form EP.

Ownership Change

Air construction permits are not transferable between owners. The new owner must complete a Form PTO for each permitted emission point that will continue to operate. Review the Ownership Change FAQ or contact the Air Permitting Engineer for additional information.
